Monitored Visits and Supervised Exchanges

Monitored/Supervised Visits:

Orientation:

Both parents must call for their group orientation. Orientation takes place Monday or Thursday evening. Call 714.447.9024 to schedule your orientation.

Visit Protocol:

Non-custodial parent or co-parent arrives 15 minutes early and waits for the child; the other parent drops off the child. When the visit is finished, the non-custodial parent waits 15 minutes after the child is picked up to avoid contact with the other parent.

Visits with Monitor:

Typically one to two hours weekly. Notes are taken at the visits. Reports sent prior to court hearing. Debriefing with counselor in the fifteen minutes after the visits.

Reasons for Monitored/Supervised Visits:
  • TRO's issued
  • Abduction
  • Parent absent for months/years
  • Child endangerment allegations
  • Alcohol/drug abuse allegations

Therapeutic Monitored/Supervised Visits:

Visits are monitored by a therapist.

Supervised Exchanges:

Exchanges are done at FACES offices by appointment only.
